The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) Ogun state chapter today picketed some filling stations in the state over hoarding of fuel and selling above official pump price of N97.

Some of the stations visited by the NLC include those at Ijebu-ode, Sagamu,Ogijo,Papalanto and Abeokuta.

The leader of the team, who is also the Treasurer, Adetola Balogun told our correspondent that the exercise was successful as the filling stations complied immediately they arrived the stations.

According to him: “We had a good outing except for a particular station at Erinlu area in Ijebu ode, where the filling station was hoarding the fuel and failed to comply with our directives.

“A strong petition has been written to the appropriate quarters and we have gotten the assurance that appropriate action will be taken against the station.

“Also at Sagamu we recorded a good outing and I must commend our people for the support given to us during the exercise,” Balogun said.

Reports said normalcy is gradually returning to the state capital after a weekend of hardship occasioned by
the scarcity of fuel in the town.

At Adatan, ROSAL STATION had its gates opened for motorists.

Manager of the filling station,Mr. Godwho, said the station got a supply on Saturday, “and we have been selling, but two out of the three pumps had finished now and we have not received new stock”.
