The representative of Lagelu/Akinyele federal constituency of Oyo state in the House of Representatives, Hon. Temitope Olatoye Sugar has called on his fellow politicians to always give back to their society.
He also appealed to state governors owing salary arrears to do everything in their powers to pay up.
According to a statement by his media aide, Sola Omotayo, Sugar gave this advice while speaking at the occasion to mark 30 years of broadcasting by an ace broadcaster in Oyo state, Kola Olotu, who seizes the occasion to reach out to fans and reward his listeners.
Sugar, who was the chairman of the occasion, congratulated the winners of the coveted prizes, encouraging them not to loose faith in government as the economic situation in the country will soon change for the better.
The lawmaker has been at the forefront of youth empowerment and grassroots development of Oyo people through his Olatoye sugar foundation.
Speaking further, the politician said the Olatoye sugar foundation had carried out lots of poverty alleviation and empowerment programs and free medical care, where free eye glasses were given to people with eye problems.
He said the rural electrification project in Igbo Elerin community where the foundation procured 361 poles as well as transformers also form part of his efforts to bring development to the people and create employment opportunities for the youths.
